I hate to write this, because I have been trying very hard not to think about the final epsiode. Suffice it to say, when the time comes I will be sitting with my tissues and my tub of ice cream and sobbing. Still, I cannot pass up an opportunity to say 'thank you' to everyone for the years you have shared your talent and humour.

For me, having to say goodbye to the residents of Dog River is difficult because it feels as though I am the one who is reluctantly packing up and leaving while knowing that life there will go on, only I won't be there to witness it. That I am originally from a small prairie town makes this hit very close to the heart. It's always hard to leave the people and places you have grown to love. It's even harder when you know you won't be back. But like with anything else, you are grateful for the good times you had. In this case, there were far too many to mention.

'Corner Gas' will forever be an icon of Canadian television, proving it can be done here! You've made us proud.

Brent, Gabrielle, Fred, Eric, Janet, Lorne, Tara, Nancy & all the supporting cast & crew: Thank you for the laughter...

Hey,
Just like to say a big farewell, but not goodbye, because the show will always be there to me. I had to go away from my home in Ontario to a little town called Caronport about 1/2 an hour away from the Corner gas set. It is a small town as well, with nothing to do, and the show always made me feel more at home then I really was.
It's sad to think it's coming to a close this coming Monday. And even though it is just a show, it made an everlasting impression in my life. A lot of random times during the day I'll think of a funny line from the show. And when everyone around me wonders why I am smiling and laughing to myself, I'm not crazy I'm just having a good time in a place that's 60 miles from no where.
So Thank you for always being hilarious, being alive and showing me that I can actually do something with my personal creative edge.

I hope to see you all working togeather again on another hit show.I will miss you guys like I would miss family. I have loved every show I have seen. I watch them over and over again. I loved how the whole cast complimented each others profiles. I found little bits of my family members in all of you.
I have passed along my DVDs to friends and family and they too have loved watching the show as I have.

I'm a city girl who spent a few years living in a little country town ... we had our own "Corner Gas"!  I won't say the local characters were as entertaining and endearing as Brent, Wanda, Oscar, Emma, Hank, Lacey, Davis or Karen -- or the less-frequently seen characters like the Mayor --- but the show does make me nostalgic for the place and the pace.  Beyond that -- and more important -- it's been a wonderful, entertaining half hour in an era when the television screen is usually filled with dissected human bodies, unpleasant characters who are supposed to be funny (but aren't) and some fool's notion of  "reality".   Thanks for the tender, funny and gentle look at the foibles of believable characters successfully doing what we're all trying to do -- rub along together. -- SRA

To the writers, directors, executive producers, thanks for the time, talent and effort you put into every single episode. Brent, Virginia, David, Mark et al, you created a solid gold show with a solid gold cast. How very fortunate for us that Brent felt that people would enjoy a show about some small town in Saskatchewan. (Hey, writers? Some of the lines you came up with - Kids are stupid! New music sucks, and it sucks too loud! My taxes pay your salary! Sounds like Plan B in Pig Latin. It's ok, she's a white eye. Ya dink. Look at me! I'm Winnie the Pooh! Stupid plusses. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to feed a fish, and round and round we go.- and some of the situations you put the cast through, were absolutely priceless!)

To the main cast, thanks for sharing your unique brand of humor and your exceptional talent with us for these six seasons. Brent, Gabe, Nancy, Fred, Tara, Lorne, Eric and Janet, I wonder if you wonderful people truly understand what you have given to so many fans all over the world?

Supporting cast, your roles may have been small, but they were most certainly memorable! Cavan, Mark, Mike, Jean, Gwen, Josh and Erroll, thanks for adding your own special touch to your characters. To all the people who had many, many roles on CG, but no character names, whatever's in your future, may it be grand. Those clever cameo appearances - hilarious. Every single actor and behind the scenes person connected to Corner Gas should feel very proud of the contributions they have made to this brilliant piece of Canadian television history.

Now, for the CGO people. Thank you so much for putting together this incredible site, giving the fans a place to go that was unlike any other. The time you invested in it is much appreciated. Our beloved Ruby, (especially when you got certain cast members on here to take questions from us, that was incredible), the games, the highly anticipated weekly auctions and subsequent prop wins, the store. Every bit of it so totally awesome. On a personal note, know what was even more awesome? The incredible people I became friends with, thanks to the Ruby. Last but not least, denizen, the best moderator in the history of the planet!  den-z, thanks for all the time you spent in the forum, both in the Ruby and behind the scenes. Whatever they paid you my friend, it wasn't enough. But what a great perk to be in as many episodes as you were! Spotting you was like our own version of "Where's Waldo?"  You da man, den-z...

Corner Gas has meant a great deal to us down here in small town Missouri, (yeah, that's right, Missouri! Davis and Lacey both said Missouri - In. Your. Face! ) and we're grateful that we got to enjoy the comedic genius of it. I was having a hard time finding the perfect way to express what it's meant, but I think I finally found it. You guys remember the old Carol Burnett Show, and how she ended each episode? With that song, and a tug of the ear. "I'm so glad we had this time together, just to have a laugh and sing a song. Seems we just got started and before we knew it, came the time we had to say 'so long.'" So with love, with gratitude, and with a lot of tears, I say, "So long, Corner Gas". *ear tug* ♥ ♥ ♥

Hi Corner Gas! I just wanted to say a big thank you to the entire cast and crew, as well as all of the supporters of Corner Gas. The show has meant a whole lot to my family and I. I know that you would not expect a light-hearted comedy to do so, but it really helped us laugh through some difficult times of illness and anxiety. I thank you for giving me laughter in times that were not so funny. And I thank you for portraying my home province exactly the way it is. Saskatchewan small towns are about living, loving and laughing your way through life with your neighbors, friends and family, regardless of the circumstances. We cannot wait for Season 6 to come out of DVD! Thanks again!!

To be a truly great and successful sitcom requires a talented cast that gels, and Corner Gas has exemplified this.  For me, Corner Gas is the best Canadian show that has ever been produced.  Brent and cast members, you have brought entertainment to our homes for all ages.  I have all the seasons on dvd, and my daughter and friends have watched them over and over.  I will very much miss the cast who have made Corner Gas a huge success.  I wish all of you the best in your future careers!!

A classic.  A fun show.  A Canadian show. Excellant writers. Acting is superb.  Comic genious. One of those rare shows where the actors and the writers all click together and are on the same wave length.   Will miss the show.  Thank you for the fun.

It HAS been a gas.  We have watched your show since the beginning.  You even had my cousin David Sparrow on as a truck driver during the Ferrari episode. We also live in a small village and relate to the small town living feeling that Cormer Gas imparts.  Hopefully the reruns will go on for years.  Brent get going on a new show and bring back the people who we have come to love.
Good luck to all of you in your careers.  You have made Canadian life real to many non-Canadians.

It HAS been a gas, and my favorite show on TV.    I have been watching "Corner Gas" since it's inception and will miss you all so much.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are definitely a national treasure.  Good luck to all of you and I look forward to seeing each and every one of you in new projects in the very near future.  Canadian television will never be the same.

Hello everyone, the cast, the crew behind the seens, your the greatest. I mean face it, you have taken a piece of Canada and blew it up..... Kaboom, Kapowee .... as Brent would put it.
Brent Butt ..... what can anyone say, but your a king when it comes to comedy. You have put together a group of amazing actors/actrises, that click so well, they make it all come together very nicely extremely funny.
To all the cast ..... looking forward to seeing you elsewhere on tube or movies, not that some of you havn't already done movies, which I know you have.
One of the good things is RE-RUNS, can never get enough, never enough.
So the best of luck to all of CORNER GAS in the future.

hey,
i don't even know where to start. well i guess that the truth is is that the first time i saw these shows my dad was whatcing a marathon of Corner gas and all i wanted to do is watch this pithetic movie anything other then that haha but then this last summer i was watching the comedy network and then Corner gas came on and i didn't know what it was called but i liked it and teh episode was I love Lacey... lol :p and so then i went to the computer and searched the comedy network to find out what that was and it said corner gas so i searched it and started to watch it and my parents couldn't get me off the computer i was seariously watching for at the least 4 hours and at the most seven

and now i got my friends stuck on it as well and i love this show i love it with all my heart and i would do anything to just meet you guys (aka cast and crew) i love you all and i wish you would have never stopped this and what would make all of us meaning every one in canada and now all over the world would be to make a movie and i am not even kidding about this..... but my friends and i have thought of a movie of Corner gas i mean like i have had many dreams about a movie different ones but most of them have been continued dreams of a movie. I really do love them and i tell them to my friends and they think they are awesome but the terrible thing is is that i really don't remember what they are i just remember the top points of them. The first one is is that Oscar finally sees the light about the cat that always goes into his yard but that was already in an episode so ya and Emma knits the longest scarf in Saskatchewan. Karen finally buys Davis something for the police station. Its not the boat that he has always wanted it is a police dog and it is a black and brown German Shepard named max. And to repay Karen Davis goes all out and buys her a new house. Wanda finally turns around on hank and sees that hes not a bad guy and they enter a dancing contest in the city. And when they come back they have great news that they came in first and hank also has better news for brent but no one else knows about it. Brent had asked hank to pick him up something in the city that he ordered and hank got it but of coarse hank messed things up and got one that looked simaler to the thing but he grabed the wrong one by mistake. And the thing that he picked up for brent was something that brent is going ot give to lacey and it is a WAIT first i should say is that it was a stormy rainy night (and that doesn't happen a lot in Saskatchewan) and everyone is in the ruby and thats when hank and wanda coem in and say there news and hank gives the thing t brent and then brent calls lacey to come over here for a second and he asks her to hold this box and it is a box like a wooden box ( old wood) and he goes down on one knee and lacey is like what?? she is very confused and then brent bends down and ties his shoe and then she is like ohh. Then brent looks up and takes the box back smiles and opens it and inside is a little velvet box like a ring box and he smiles and lacey is amazed opens it and say those specail four words well i guess its five including the Name of the person well anyways  he says the Five speacial words "Lacey Will you Marry me?" and she starts to cry and nods her head up and down and every one starts to clapp and cheer and brent gives her a hug and turns around and smiles. lacey is still trying to hold it together while laughing smileing and crying. And after all of that ahnk and wanda have news, They say that Hank is the actuale father of Tanner and that they didn't want to tell anyone about it and thats why wanda was so mean to him and well ya. So ya that is what i can remember so far and i know that the dreams were the best ever and you guys can ask my friend how good they are and this is no joke no joke at all!

and again i love you all and i love this searies! Brent you have had another great idea and i can't wait for you next (aka HIccups) I really Can't wait sigh i just can't believe what you guys have come up with and how this had all come together and if there was any diffrent cast i dont think that this series would ever be so good and i have many people that support me on that so ya thank you for all the love and laughs most of the time tears of laughter lol and well i don't know what else i could say but thank you!

Thank you Brent, for bringing us all along with you as you accomplished something amazing. You broke new ground for Canadian t.v. and we all benefitted from it.   I hope that you coast on the Corner Gas high for many years to come, but that you also keep on being a trail-blazer.  I also hope that you continue to be surrounded by the kind of brilliant, beautiful people that you carefully chose for your CG cast. Kudos for being a good judge of character(s).  See you in the funny papers.

Hello
I want to say when I heard this was your last season I was shocked and sooooo disappointed.
I own all of the DVDs and got two of them the day they came out in stores.
I have been to the set in Regina where I met Hank, Oscar, Karen, and Davis. I doubt any of you remember me, but when I met Fred and got him to sign my corner gas shirt (like Brents), he complimented me on my dark knight shirt and that's a moment I'll never forget. I was the kid with a mustache.
I hope to get all of your autographs on the "Blouse" the same colour as where fighter planes fly
4 out of 8 left to meet
Its been a gas
I shall miss your show
To you all have fun picking crab apples, cooking, buying fake robots off the web, being sarcastic, pumping gas, playing golf, whining about losing golf, wiping dog poop an doorknobs, falling asleep in the cop car and most importatntly whatever you do after corner gas.

For the first time ever, I bought dvds of a tv show. As someone who grew up on a farm near a small town (population 322) in southern Minnesota, Corner Gas reminds me of the best parts of that life. The name of my small town even started with a D and the town down the road that made everyone spit started with a W. (The animosity went back to a dispute over a mail train stop in the 1800s and continues to this day). In Dog River no one is truly needy (just cheap), the weather is never bad, and the crops never fail - but the show is not sentimental. The writing captures the dry wit of rural people without condescension.

My wife and I have been a big fan of Corner Gas ever since it became available here in the States (Ohio) - unfortunately we are a season behind so we have not been able to watch season 6 and are looking forward to it!!
There are not many shows that we watch weekly but CG has been a mainstay at home (even the repeats) - it's like watching the great white norths version of Seinfeld ( And I mean your show is every bit as good as Seinfeld)
To the cast who brought us so many laughs - Thank you!!  We sincerely hope we get to see you again in another show. Each and everyone of you contributed so much to each show and we related to every unique character.

Best of luck in what ever you all choose to do - we will miss our weekly visit to Dog River.

Sincerely,

Gary and Kym Hackle

Back in the 60's, our family had a cottage, north of Toronto, near Halibuton in Ontario. I remember listening to the towns people talk amongst themselves. Everybody knew each other and cared. Corner Gas has brought back all of these memories with its small town humour. The silplicities in life, instead of the hustle and bustle.
Thanks Corner Gas

Whether you realize it or not, your show was what this world needed. Not since the days of MASH has there been a show that was both family safe and very very funny. Corner Gas was the highlight of each week that both my daughter and I enjoyed together.Your show will truly be missed. Thanks for all of the laughs!

Thank you for giving the great laughs over the years. It is a really great show to turn on when your in a bad mood or just want to get some comedic greatness flowing through. Congratulations on the 6 seasons, I was really hoping for something that lasted longer then "ER" with Corner Gas but I understand that this is for the best. I shall be getting the box set as I only have Seasons 4 and 5. Thanks for everything!

Well, what more can I say that has not already been said? You are part of OUR family. My husband was watching you for over a year before (one day in March of 2007) I finally wised up and jumped on board! I never looked back. I furiously bought all the previous 4 seasons and later that July, we drove to Regina and after months of anticipation, went on the bus tour to "Dog River". Even the kids were crazy with joy to see all the places 'Hank did this...' or 'Wanda said that...' They can recite nearly any line from any episode you bring up, with as much fervor and character as the Dog Riveree who uttered it. Not only was that a most memorable trip for us, it never stops being a favoured topic of family conversation. We watch old episodes regularily, when we need a fix of "Bingo Night" or just wanna rock out with ThunderFace. And certain phrases are just part of everyday chatter now; "Holy hell, I'm on an allowance!" Yeah, we're a crazy bunch, and CG just egged us on to have even more fun!
Thanks for giving of yourselves to make the show more than just that.

I'd just like to thank the cast and crew of the show for providing a lovely escape when my husband was deployed.  I started watching so I could have a laugh when he was in Afghanistan and continued through this past one.   I'm happy to have become a viewer and grateful to the creative minds, talented actors and hard workers who put the show together.  Thanks!

Dear Brent:

It's been about a year and a half since I first noticed you beckoning me from inside my TV. I took one look at what you had to offer, and it was love! WGN made me so happy. My new Canadian friends were agonizing over pre-emptions. Not me! I had 8 episodes a week! Your perfectly imperfect little world was my new happy place. And then you dropped the bomb...only one more season! But, Mr. Butt, I hadn't even been to Dog River yet!

A small miracle happened and I was able to go on the last tour. I drove from a town near the New Brunswick border that does not get CTV clearly. I got to meet every one of your stars, except Janet and Eric, but the lovely Gabrielle helped me with a one-of-a-kind memento from them. I can't thank you all enough.

I had a brief moment alone with you and Nancy, because you are just not the kind of man to drive over a waving maniac. I will smile when I think of that, always. I felt like I was watching a moment of my life this season. Brent went to Regina and was kind of off balance when meeting that author, like I was with Lorne. And he didn't get his comic book signed, as I forgot to get the very personable Fred to sign a DVD case. *sigh* As I made my way out of town I passed by the corner one last time, and there you were standing
between the pumps. Innumerable people must have honked and waved over the years, but I want to thank you for waving back. Icing on a very sweet cake.

Thanks to the writers, the crew, the eight great stars, Bill Gardiner, Josh and Cavan. Thanks to Claire, Maggie and Kerri. Thanks to the Snowbirds who appeared out of the blue in Moose Jaw. Thanks to the citizens of Saskatchewan who understood my crazy love of the show and, now, the Province.

Thanks to cornergas.com...to the people who thought up Prairie Scramble and the mods who listened to reason. Thanks to cornergasauthor, who asked our opinions. Thanks to my new friends I've met here.

Thanks for the laughs, the tears, the exposure to great Canadian music.

I wish you ALL the best of luck, love and happiness.

Now, please, please, please, Brent, bring your stand up to New Brunswick. I'll get a passport. At least, release your routines on DVD.  I'm dying here!

                                                                      Your Fan, Peggy Bell

Hello Corner Gas, I am very sad to see you go but I respect your decision to end on a high note.  My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting Dog River and your set in Regina this summer and we had a blast! The drive from Cambridge Ontario to Regina is much further than I imagined and yes Saskatchewan sure is flat, lots to see though, nothing to block your view, lol.   Anyways, I have never followed a show like I've followed Corner Gas (unless you count having to watch Dallas with my mom every Friday night as a kid)  I have to say thank you very much for all the wonderful laughs you've brought me over the last 6 years.  It used to be I'd come home from work after a very stressful day and crave Kraft Dinner or a glass of red wine...well, thanks to you and your show on DVDs, I can come home and unwind with KD and Corner Gas or just Corner Gas...what can I say, you're comfort food.  Thanks again and best of luck to all of you in your future endeavours.  Love Cari, Brian and Bowser xoxo

Hello.  I cannot believe you are leaving!!  I will miss you all very much,  but at least we'll have the reruns to keep us laughing.  I didn't start watching until 2nd season, but got hooked immediately.  I watch ALL episodes, new and old and still laugh out loud every time.   I wish you all success in the future and hope to see you soon in another series. Thanks for the Laughs!!  Take Care!!

I just wanted to say farewell to the best comedy show I have seen in years. The whole cast does an awesome job at keeping everyone laughing. I will own the whole series on DVD (when available) to enjoy for years to come. The 13th is also my birthday so seeing your last episode will make a great gift. Thanks for keeping a smile on our faces.
Kevin

Thanks, Brent , and all your cast members for all the shows you did do.
It's always a highlight of the week. We'll miss you.
What a treat it was,  a "comedy" that was actually funny.

Friends:

Thank you very much for such a fantastic show!

I grew up in a small Newfoundland fishing community and can relate to the people in Corner Gas.  In fact, I can easily be one of its characters.

I really appreciate the fact that you have been able to deliver good, clean humour.  Your show is already one of the very best ever produced in the world - not just Canada.

So, as we would say in Newfoundland, "Brent, my son, your show is some good."

I wish all of you the very best in the future.
