How can I participate in the discussion board at the Ruby? back to index

You can access the Ruby environment a few ways. One option is through the MENU option at the top of the screen. The menu will drop-down and will display an option for the Ruby. Roll your mouse over this option and click on it.

Second option is by rolling over the Ruby on the main town interface and clicking on it. And lastly, through the corridor entry point within the Corner Gas station, simply click on the entry part to bring you to the Ruby environment.

Once you are in the Ruby can participate in discussion board on a number of subjects, or you can start your own thread.

First off please remember there are rules in the Ruby. Never tell personal information such as your email address, personal website or city of residence. And no swearing, and no spitting. There are cyber-deputies that can remove your post you from a room, and if your behaviour is way out of line you can be banned from the site.
How do I play the Perfect Pump game? back to index

You can access the Perfect Pump Game a few ways.

One option is through the MENU option at the top of the screen. The menu will drop-down and will display an option for the Perfect Pump. Roll your mouse over this option and click on it. This will bring you to the Game.

Second option is by rolling over the gas pumps on the main town interface and clicking on it. The objective of the Perfect Pump Game is to accurately fill with gas the majority of cars entering the gas station to proceed to higher levels and to earn DOG RIVER Dollars.

There will be a start button to initiate the game. Cars will enter the gas station at random. On the side of the car will be a dollar amount. This dollar amount will be how much gas you will have to pump for that car.

You will start the pump by clicking on the pump button to begin pumping and click on the button a second time to stop the pump. You will want to stop the pump as close to the fill amount as possible.

The greater the accuracy the more DOG RIVER Dollars you will earn. There are four pumps, so potentially you could be filling up 4 cars at the same time. If you fill the cars accurately you will proceed to the next level, until you reach the highest level. If you don’t - the game will end at which ever level you have not successfully completed.

There's no smoking at the pumps and we have zero tolerance for complaints about the gas prices and how you can get it cheaper at another website across the street.
How do I play the Prairie Scramble game? back to index

You will need skill, speed, typing ability, and a keen sense of what the heck a surveillance bush is all about.

How To Play

When the timer starts, each player searches the assortment of letters for words of three letters or more. When you find a word, type it into the blank space under the letter board and press the ENTER key.

Words are formed from adjoining letters. Letters must join in the proper sequence to spell a word. They may join horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, to the left, right, or up-and-down. No letter, however, may be used more than once within a single word.

Any word (noun, adjective, adverb, etc.) is acceptable. Plural nouns are allowed, as are all verb tenses. Words within words are also permissible (spa, par, are, spar and pare in spare). Proper names, abbreviations, contractions, hyphenated words and foreign words are not accepted unless part of the CORNER GAS Bonus Words. CORNER GAS Bonus Words are worth FIVE times the usual value. So check the list, and keep them in mind.

Yes we know, Hank is not a word. Foo Mart isn’t either, but it sure helps up your score.

The dictionary is published online.

Scoring

After three minutes, no more words will be allowed. Each word will be scored as follows:

No. of letters:
  • 3 = 1 point
  • 4 = 1 point
  • 5 = 2 points
  • 6 = 3 points
  • 7 = 5 points
  • 8 or more = 11 points
The "Qu" cube counts as two letters.

CORNER GAS Bonus Words

A list of Corner Gas Bonus Words is published on the game page. These words are worth 5 times their point value, if you can find them. Some of these words are not within the rules (such as proper names), but here at Corner Gas rules are meant to be broken. Just don't tell Davis.

Levels

There are 3 Prairie Scramble Levels: Diesel, Regular and Supreme. Each higher level has more possible word points than the last and is worth more in the overall rankings.

Prizes!

Each level has its own top scores. At midnight EST on Monday Night each week that CORNER GAS airs, the best players on each level will move up to the next level, the bottom players will move down a level. So if you snooze, you’ll drop down next week, if you’re hot, you go up to the next level until you are at “Supreme”.

Each week the top scores on ALL three boards will earn DOG RIVER Dollars. So even if you’re a beginner, you can excel and make big DOG RIVER Dollars. Then you can bid on CORNER GAS props at the DOG RIVER Auction!
