To the great cast and crew of Corner Gas....just watched the last episode and it was fabulous...a perfect finale for a great show.
Thank you for all the laughs over the years.  Having lived in small town Saskatchewan for a dozen years, I could really relate to Dog River and the people.
Corner Gas has been proof that a comedy show can be just that...comedy...without anything but good wholesome laughs.
Thank you again...my family will miss yours every Monday night.

Can't believe 6 years have gone by. It seems like you just started yesterday. Lacy I remember you coming from Toronto as I was from that area and it really perked my interest. I felt like all of you were my family and friends.  I'm watching Live at E-Talk  and It's been a Gas and I'm fighting tears. And I'm taping it as I don't want to let you go. Brent, friends of mine that came from Tisdale know you and said you were at their daughter's wedding. It's hard to believe you were all acting, as it felt so natural all that was going on. You were all terrific!
I'm going to miss you all. God bless you all and may your future endeavours be as successful as Corner Gas has been. And thanks for putting Saskatchewan on the map. Love you all!

For me corner gas was like walt disney old cartoons (donald duck chip n dale....) EVER GREEN. This was the show which u can watch n relax. Corner gas was one reason to make Monday evening exited.
I wish i can do something so that this show will not stop.
If i was writing this message on paper by now the paper would have been wet with my tears.

It is amazing how a show can truly touch so many people in this great country of ours. A part of me feels a lot emptier with the final show airing tonight. You feel like you know these people like a friend and more like family after a while and sometimes you think, is there a town out there like this? I know there are a lot of sad people tonight, but just think of all the laughs we had together. To the cast of Corner Gas, I sincerely thank you a million times over for what you have accomplished. You have left a legacy that will go forward for generations to come. I really believe that this is truly a classic,I cannot wait to watch reruns with my nieces when they get a little older.Every one of you tugged at my heart tonight, and yes some tears, I wish every one of you the best of health and success in your future endeavours. You are the best and you did it all with class, and I mean class of the highest degree.   Saskatchewan will never be the same without you,I hope you know that. All of you are amazing actors, but through this show, you are also incredible people.God Bless You!!!  DM

To the cast and crew of Corner Gas,
I want to congraduate you on coming this far. The show was changed the face of Canadian comedies and has shown the world what we can do. Today I was able to go to the E Talk special in Toronto. I got to see the cast live and even got to meet most of them. I was amazed on how down to earth everyone was. The fact that Eric came over to take a picture with me after seeing me take a picture of him made my day. Everyone was friendly and kind, which I felt was really neat. Most actors I have met are full of themselves and won't smile or take a picture with fans. All in all, it made my day and I want to thank the cast for that. I love the show and the characters. It was always funny and made me smile. As I am sad to see the show go, I am happy that I will never see the day when Corner Gas loses its steam. Whenever I look back at the show I will only think of it being at the top of it's game. I hope there is something more for Corner Gas in the future.
Again thank you for everything. You won't know how much today mean't to me!!!
Love

She died in June 2007 while watching Corner Gas with me.
She died at home watching her show.
And she Loved Brent and his Humour.

It is sad to this show end. You have made all of us Saskatchewanians very, very proud!!! You all will be missed. My only regret was not visiting the set and grovel my way into a scene and have Oscar call me JACKASS!
I'm putting all the seasons onto my Ipod so I can watch them when I want. Thank you again for giving us a QUALITY show.

good bye to everyone, if you only knew how much you will be missed by my household, you are all like family to us...it seems like we know each and everyone of you personally...we looked forward to watching you every monday night even if it was a rerun being aired..

we lived in ontario and visited our son in assiniboia saskatchewan so we had to made a special trip to visit the corner gas set in "dog river" and enjoyed every minute there.. my husband was a loyal viewer (he died in may 09) he convinced myself and his parents to watch an episode in the first season and we got hooked..we became loyal viewers and i now live in assiniboia saskatchewan...my nickname for my husband became jack ass after seeing oscar calling everybody that...i loved it..

all i can say is.... thanks for the good laughs, good luck to everyone, and i will miss you more than you will ever know...GOD BLESS

To all the corner gas family: I live in bradford, ontario and have to say that your show has brought laughter even on days that i didnt think were possible. I really don't want the show to end even though you guys have already decided that it is time and i agree with the reasons why. I think that even if the show continued fans would stay loyal and keep on loveing it no matter what because the plot of each episode is different, interesting and funny which is what fans like. I as a loyal corner gas fan will always remember this show and will continue watching every episode and season that i will always own on dvd. Thank you for 6 seasons of hilarious comedy that everyone can relate to in some way. Matt White (colossalloss)

To the Corner Gas Crew,
I just want to say Thanks! for all the great times. My husband and I are real Corner Gas junkies. He even watches the show wearing Brent's shirt! We have all the cd's except this season's. I am originally from Wisconsin, so was thrilled when they had a visitor from there. I am also from a town of 1200 "Dog River" clones. Yes, people really DO act like that. We loved every show and cannot imagine Monday night without it. We have petitioned Gary Doer to cancel Mondays from now on. Thanks for all the laughs (so why are we sitting here crying?).

Its been a great show. Thank You so much. Your show has entertained me and my family for the last many years with time to gather and watch a family friendly non controversial show. What Brent said in macleans is so true, the need felt by producers and script writers in Canada to be edgy and controversial ruins their shows. Show us something we may or may not be able to relate to but keep it funny and light. There are way to many shows trying to be cutting edge and forgetting the basic format of a lovable show like corner gas. Have great characters that reflect real people we know (my dad is kinda like Oscar myself im a little hank) and light funny material. Enjoy your royalties everyone you deserved them and I look forward to watching it all over again in a couple a years hopefully with a nice box set of all the seasons! Thank You again It truly was GAS!

Great, Great show! I'll miss it.
I grew up in small town Saskatchewan and lived in various towns and cities in Saskatchewan until 2001 when I moved to Ontario. I have loved the show. It personifies small town Saskatchewan so accurately.
It has been a delight 'being back in small town Saskatchewan weekly by way of Corner Gas.'

Thanks to all the cast and crew of the show - it was awesome - it has been a good ride!

Yes, as someone else has said - 'How about a movie?'

I can't believe it.  I can't believe its over.  I fell in love with the show 6 years ago and now it's over; a piece of me has died... Brent why?  I know it's said its good to go out on top and you are certainly doing that but why now... Even though I grew up in Ontario and have never been out west, I related to every character.  Hank just like the guy next door when I grew up... Wanda just like a co-worker of mine, Lacy just like my wife's boss, Davis and Karen pick any of the officers on the force here, Emma just like mom, and Oscar just like the crusty ol guy that even one loves down the street, of course the Ruby is just like our favorite restaurant, Corner Gas... not the average gas station but none the less it reminds me of my earlier days.  It just got started and now its over... why why why.
Brent you need to reconsider and come back next season... I tried to watch the other show that some of the cast is in and I just can't do it - it's not the same.
If you must go, go and know that you have left some loyal fans, wanting more, but understanding that it was time to go...  Reminds me of the movie the Truman show at then end when he says 'in case I don't see ya Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Night' and then the screen flashes to snow....it's over and that's it.  Take care -- maybe a reunion show (please)... Monday's are never gonna be the same, gonna miss Corner Gas...

Luved the show, though I was a little disappointed there was never any winter scenes. Heck I went to Gray Cup in Winnipeg in the early 90's and there was no way we went in a leather jacket! But over all it was a great show, great cast and I will miss it but long live reruns!

I am a fan from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I stumbled across Corner Gas last year on WGN.  Because CG never came on with any regularity here, I bought all available seasons, and am now such a big fan.  It makes me so sad to see this wonderful show go off the air, though it's nice to see that it's "going out on top" ala Seinfeld.  I hope Season Six comes out on DVD quickly!  When it does, I will be first in line in PA to get my copy.

Thanks for creating this show, which has made me feel as though there are some places on this good earth where things are more simply done and enjoyed, and where life's complications can be solved in about half and hour's time.

I love you all. I will miss this show alot. I used to hate mondays but when Corner Gas aired for the first time I had something to look forward to. I'm still in school so you have so many fans from everywhere. I think I might cry. What will I do now? No other show will ever top this one. Alot of magic has happened in the last seasons. To Brent I will miss your sillyniss. Eric, you rock jackass! I secretly have a crush on Eric! This show was great because I live in a small town so you could relate easily.
I love you all!!! Hopefully there will be a Corner Gas movie!

Corner Gas was the best show on TV.  I loved seeing and identifying all of the Canadian products sold at Corner Gas.   It is a sad, sad, day in the history of Canada that this is the last episode of Corner Gas.  It was so well written and funny and the cast was perfect.  You couldn't have found a better Oscar.  I just love him.  Well goodbye all and I hope to see you soon in another show that Brent is writing.  You are writing another show aren't you Brent?  Brent???

How do you thank someone for six years of great television? I remember when John Candy died, Dick Van Dyke said Candy was one of the few movie stars that you could take your children and grandchildren to see one of his movies and never have to question whether it would be appropriate for everyone in your group. Corner Gas was the same way.

I will always remember seeing a friend I went to high school with on Corner Gas (Thomas Mitchell) and every time I speak to him and I start off with his line "Step away from the hinge!" By the way, Thomas spoke very highly of his time on the set.

While I am sad about the show leaving what seems to be before its time, I remember another show that I eargerly awaited veiwing ona weekly basis when I was a kid and that show did the same thing by leaving before it time was up - the Carol Burnett show. I guess if you are mentioned in the same sentence as the Carol Burnett show, that speaks VOLUMES about the quality of the show and the legacy it will leave behind.

I wish everyone associated with the show, both in front and behind the camera every possible success personally and professionally. I do know that you made me smile every Monday night and I sincerely thank you for your efforts.

Don't Go!!!  I truly enjoy the Canadian Humour.  Why is it when we get a Great Canadian Show - it has to end!!  I was a fan of Street Legal and now Corner Gas.  I could relate to Oscar as he reminded me of my Grandfather.  Everyone has been great and I am looking forward to Corner Gas The Movie!  I wish all of you the best of success in your careers and look forward to seeing you again on television or at the theatre or on stage.  I know I will be crying at the end of tonight as I watch the final eposide. All of you are my favourites.  I love being Canadian.  Maybe you could make a show about life in Freelton!! lol ... Sue R ;-) miss you guys already ....

First I would like to thank everybody involved in making this show.  I think this is by far the best Canadian show ever and the best sitcom made in very long time.  The show was so enjoyable on so many levels.  It was funny, lighthearted, and easy to relate to.  What is really great about the show is that, while it only lasted 6 years on film, there are and always will be little things everyday that will remind me of something on the show. (I don't think I'll ever be able to look at a skunk ever again without picturing Oscar punching it.)  Everybody I know loves the show, and if it comes up in discussion, everybody is smiling and laughing at something or quoting a character.  That to me is the sign of a great sitcom, and the show will live forever because of this.

Thank you again for giving us all a reason to laugh, I will always love the show and am sad to see it come to an end.

The weekly visits to Dog River reminded me of some of the best people that I have met in my life, the people of Saskatchewan.  Thanks for producing a show that anyone could watch with their kids or Grandparents and laugh about the same things.  Good luck with your careers!  Sincerely, The Former Goodwill Ambassador of Dog River.

Corner Gas, what can I say?? It most defenetly HAS been a gas! I'm glad you didn't turn out like ER and quit while your on top!!! Brent Butt, you are my idol! From episode 1 to episode 107 you've written has been pure gold!!! But the show would be nothing without Gabrielle, Fred, Eric, Janet, Lorne, Tara and Nancy. Yes that's in order of the opening credits haha! I look forward to the finale coming on in an hour and a half, Atlantic time!!!

I have been watching your show since the start  and I have all tc dvd's too so I can get my Corner Gas fix now and then through rewatching those I'm sure they may very well wear out! The reason I tuned in first was to see Janet Wright again, I remembered her name from knowing the band of Humphrey & The Dumptrucks. I had known Michael Taylor and Ann Wright from growing up in Bradwell Sask. You all wil be missed greatly but I wish you every happiness and good luck in all of your future endeavors!!!! Oh and by the way keep us updated if you can on where everyone may go to further their careers it would be nice to know how everyone is doing.                                          Missing you all already!!!        Trudy887

At my work place, I'm known as the "The very serious Network Security Boss with absolutely no sense of humor". People literally stop having fun when I walk in the room. It's true, I leave my sense of humor at home. No exceptions. No prisoners. But at home, there are a few things that takes out of the "straight as a laser beam" seriousness of my work and Corner Gas is one of those things. I will miss the Saskatchewan small town antics, the bits and pieces of canadianisms and specially the "connect the dots" humor. Long live the memories of "Corner Gas" , jackass ! Cheers Canada. When Corner Gas first came out I didn't give it much thought. That all changed thanks to the Premier of Saskatchewan. You see, I was overseas in Bosnia in 2004/2005 on a peacekeeping mission with the CF, feeling pretty homesick. Sometimes we would get care packages from home to give us a morale boost. One day we received a DVD set from the Premier of Saskatchewan for a show called Corner Gas. I vaguely remembered the show, but had never watched it. One of the guys put the DVD in - I don't think I laughed like that in a long time. I was hooked.

I haven't stopped watching your show since that time, but like all good things, it has come to an end. I will miss your show and the cast. Good luck to the cast and crew of Corner Gas. I hope that we will be seeing you in future productions, hopefully a CG movie.

Corner Gas Gang:
Sitting here in Belleville Ontario waiting to see the final episode of Corner Gas. Will have to find a box of kleenex to have on hand.  This is one of the best comedies I have seen since Frasier and it is truly Canadian which makes it even better.

I found out in 1993 I actually had relatives in Regina, Mellville and Duff Sask. so got to visit a couple of times. I guess that is why Corner Gas is so special...I definately could relate to the humour and the daily activites that go there ...ie coffee at the local coffee shop at 10:00 am and again at 2:00pm in the afternoon. The dirt roads, the quaint stores and friendly people will always be some of my special memories.

Now I can add Corner Gas to the list...you will certainly be missed...to the cast and crew of Corner Gas we wish you all the best and trust that sometime in the future we may have the privilege of seeing another program about rural Canada.

Best Wishes for the future

Liz

Well what can I possible say that hasn't been said since the announcement that the end is near. Well its closer than near its here and many tears will be shed tonight. You have become part of our family, the humor well, its Canadian and makes us chuckle. Growing up I spent my summers in a very small community and you nailed it. Thanks for sharing, gonna miss you and will keep fingers crossed that we have not heard the last from you and Dog River. DartNS (Anne- Dartmouth, NS)

I haven't read any of the other farewell posts so I'm sure what I'm about to say has been said before by someone else but I don't know any other way to do this.

I dislike the that the show is ending, but I am very touched by what Brent said about wanting to go out on top, because he that's how he wants us fans to remember the show, at it's very best.

So I just want to say a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU! to the entire cast and crew of Corner Gas. I am amazed by how hard you all worked to make the whole country laugh, week in and week out.
